New Gresham Appointment Strengthens Power Conversion Design Team

June 11, 2009 by Jeff Shepard

Gresham Power Electronics announced the appointment of Phil Gethen to their power supply design team. "Our engineering department has never been busier" commented Jake Moir, Managing Director of Gresham Power "and we are very pleased to add Phil to our team."

Gethen brings a broad spectrum of experience with him having spent 4 ½ years designing production test equipment for a hard disk drive test equipment manufacturer. During this time he gained a great depth of knowledge of high speed digital, power supply and RF design and testing.

In his new role at Gresham Power Electronics Gethen will provide design validation services, commissioning and design support on MIL projects and customer support to Gresham’s commercial/OEM power supply customers when required.

"Phil Gethen has gained a broad experience of the electronics industry from the control and measurement sectors. He was most recently an applications engineer with an international power supply manufacturer, where he worked on added value projects and custom power supply designs. This is a key new appointment for Gresham Power at a time when we are experiencing growing demand for our Naval and Commercial Marine power systems and seeing an increase in interest in our modular rack-based power solutions and our latest range of high power density OEM power supplies." Moir continued.

The company states that Gethen’s experience will be very valuable to its growing number of customers seeking value added and custom designed power solutions. He will also be offering design and technical support across Europe to Gresham’s OEM customers and distribution network.
