MTE Corp and TEAL Electronics to Merge
MTE Corporation is merging with TEAL Electronics Corporation. MTE and TEAL previously were separate companies within the SL Industries portfolio of companies, and will now operate as one company under MTE. MTE and TEAL have a strong history of developing innovative, differentiated, patent protected technologies. MTE's power quality portfolio includes Matrix® AP passive harmonic filters, SineWave Guardian™ and dV Sentry™ motor protection filters, line and load reactors, dc link chokes and EMI/RFI filters for demanding industries such as industrial automation, water/wastewater, HVAC, oil and gas, elevators, and mining.
TEAL has been a power quality solution provider to large OEMs in the medical, semiconductor, military, and aerospace markets for over 30 years. TEAL's expertise has earned worldwide recognition in delivering transformer based power quality solutions for critical and demanding applications. TEAL's power quality portfolio includes ISOTRANâ„¢ isolation transformers and power conditioned distribution units for medical imaging, cancer treatment, and semiconductor test, and PowerRAXâ„¢ power conditioned pre-wired racks, and GATEKEEPERâ„¢ rack mounted power conditioners for avionics testers and flight simulators. The individual product brands will continue to be marketed and sold under the new MTE.
The companies will maintain their R&D, engineering and manufacturing locations in Menomonee Falls, WI; San Diego, CA; Singapore; Xianghe, China; Mexicali, Mexico; and Tecate, Mexico. Combined, there will be over 25 sales locations serving end markets through over 400 channel partners globally and strategic global accounts direct via global account managers. According to Donald Klein, who previously was President of both TEAL and MTE, the combination of the two companies creates an exciting portfolio to serve current customers and penetrate new markets.
"The synergies of our solutions and staff will significantly enhance our opportunities to serve our customers," said Klein. "Together, the new MTE will be able to do much more than either company could have done alone. We will continue to lead the market in finding innovative solutions and helping our customers improve their productivity by delivering solutions for quality power."
