November 07, 2006 by Jeff Shepard

Mouser Electronics, Inc. announced it has entered into a distribution agreement with Enpirion Inc. (a developer of power systems on silicon) to market its high-performance power products. Enpirion utilizes fabless manufacturing to produce products that include dc-dc buck converters featuring integrated inductors that deliver high power density. Enpirion's products are intended to deliver benefits for systems designers, including 70% footprint reduction and 60% component count reduction with low ripple and superior transient response. Applications include embedded computing, telecom, datacom, mass storage, xDSL, set top boxes, cellular handsets, PDAs, and personal media players.

"It makes sense for Enpirion to join forces with the fastest growing catalog distributor in the electronics industry," said Paul Greenland, Enpirion's Vice President of Marketing and Applications. "We're confident this will prove to be an effective channel for Enpirion's high-performance power products, which are known for their simplicity and ease-of-use."

According to Mike Scott, Mouser's Vice President of Active and Passive Components, the distribution agreement with Enpirion is in keeping with the distributor's business model of continuing to offer and inventory the newest, most innovative products and the latest technologies, thus delivering a time-to-market advantage to its customers. Mouser currently stocks a full range of Enpirion components and evaluation products.

"We are pleased that Enpirion selected Mouser as their sole catalog distributor to help launch their innovative power products," Scott said. "Their high-performance integrated power technologies are a great complement to our line card and further enhance the quality of innovative products we offer our customers."
