Millennium Cell Publicly Tests Hydrogen Fuel System

April 21, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Millennium Cell (Eatontown, NJ) announced that its Hydrogen-on-Demand fuel system got its first public road test inside DaimlerChrysler Corp.'s (Auburn Hills, MI) new Chrysler Town and Country Natrium clean energy vehicle. The Natrium was road tested by individuals in the San Francisco Bay area and in Los Angeles, and will next be on the road in San Diego.

"The founding mission of Millennium Cell was to develop a system that was responsive to the needs and wants of the consumer for space, comfort, convenience and safety," said Stephen Tang, Millennium Cell president and CEO. "Our hydrogen system does that. It is gratifying to see it on the road this week after 18 months of development."
