Microtel's XCEL Power Systems Win Contracts

Microtel International Inc. (Rancho Cucamonga, CA) announced that its subsidiary, XCEL Power Systems Ltd. (UK), won three contracts from Thales Corp. to supply specialized military power supply units. The combined value of the contracts is approximately $419,000.

The power supply units will support the LITE, Optronics Mast and Phalanx programs. Deliveries are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2001 and to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2002.

Richard Weller, general manager of XCEL Power Systems, stated, "We are extremely pleased to have secured these contracts. Thales is a major force in the military marketplace, and as such is considered a vital customer. We look forward to continuing our mutually beneficial relationship."
