KB Electronics Ltd. (Bedford, Nova Scotia) unveiled a new corporate identity. The privately owned company is now known as Pivotal Power, effective September 4, 2001.

Company executives feel that the new brand name and image better reflect the firm's experience and accomplishments in the military defence sector and will drive its vision of growth in both the military sector and its entry into industrial markets through power-conversion products currently being developed for fuel cell technology.

"We've been delivering power-conversion solutions that are innovative, performance-enhanced and customer-focused for two decades," said Carlo Shimoon, president and CEO of Pivotal Power. "Our achievements as a premier supplier of power-conversion products for naval, army and airforce applications allows us to leverage our experience to capture new power-conversion product opportunities in both the defence and industrial sectors. We want our brand name to truly represent and embody our recognized core strengths and the added-value we provide to customers. Pivotal Power accomplishes this and accurately conveys our brand into the future."
