Infineon Adds GaN Cleanroom in Arizona

Infineon recently celebrated the grand opening of a new warehouse and Gallium Nitride (GaN) cleanroom in Mesa, Arizona. The facilities will ensure that the company able to meet current and future requirements of its customers. Given the significance of the new facilities, high-ranking Infineon employees, among them Bob LeFort, President of Infineon Americas.

The multi-million-dollar expansion project added about 11,500-square-feet and will create more than 20 new jobs. "Our Mesa facility underlines Infineon's commitment to work on advanced materials here in Mesa," stated Dr Juergen Woehl, managing director, Infineon Epi Services.

The event was hosted by Juergen Woehl, who is based in Mesa. Highlighting the importance of this announcement, attendees included: Bob Le Fort, president Infineon Americas; Alex Miehr, senior director Materials Management, Infineon Technologies AG; and Steffen Metzger, senior project director, GaN, Infineon Technologies AG.
