June 09, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Hydrogenics Corp. (Toronto, Canada), a designer and manufacturer of fuel cell technology, announced that it has sold six of its HyPM-LP2 10kW fuel cell power modules to Deere and Co. for integration and evaluation in off-road vehicle applications, including grounds equipment and utility vehicles.

John Deere is a great partner for Hydrogenics and we are excited to secure this follow-on order for multiple units," said Hydrogenics President and CEO Pierre Rivard. "We have made tremendous strides over the past year with our power modules and the ePower Technologies group at Deere has worked extremely well with our technology team. This new contract signifies a deepening commitment between the two companies to establish a progressive fuel cell program which will enable both sides to achieve commercialization milestones, better, faster, and more economically."
