Rayovac Corp. (Madison, WI) announced that Home Depot Inc. (Atlanta, GA) has chosen Rayovac to be a major supplier of branded batteries. The deal marks the first time that Rayovac will be sold in all of Home Depot’s US stores. Rayovac had previously been part of a year-long battery sales test, but only in Home Depot’s mid-Atlantic stores.
The deal adds Rayovac to battery lines already sold in Home Depot’s stores, which include Duracel and Energizer. Hope Depot also chose Rayovac as its rechargeable supplier for its 1,077 US stores. Rayovac’s alkaline products will be in cross-merchandised designated battery sections throughout the stores.
