HEDEPS 2003 to Be Held in Nice, France

January 21, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

The High Energy Density Electrochemical Power Sources Conference (HEDEPS) 2003 will be held at the Hotel Negresco in Nice, France, September 17-20, 2003. The deadline for abstract submission is February 16, 2003, the deadline for registration is April 28, 2003, and the deadline for manuscript submission is June 28, 2003.

The conference will evaluate the status of current research and development on lithium-ion batteries, fuel cells and metal-air batteries relating to "High Energy Density Electrochemical Power Sources and Future Directions." The objective is to gather scientists from Europe, America and Asia for sharing their perspectives on strategies for future research and development investments with particular attention to batteries that can be stored or operated over a wide

temperature range, high-energy hybrid systems that are capable of providing useful power continuously over long time periods, portable systems for high-energy-density batteries, fuel reforming for fuel cells, and high-power energy-storage devices such as batteries and supercapacitors.
