Global Solar Energy LLC (Wheat Ridge, CO) has appointed Michael Gering as president of the company, effective October 22, 2001. Gering most recently served as president of Litton Industries' Advanced Systems Division, which was a manufacturer of threat warning systems for military aircraft, advanced electronic support measures and passive radar frequency detection systems for the US military.
"Michael's experience in manufacturing and business development gives Global Solar a leader with the credentials to take the company to the top of a highly competitive and growing market,” said James Pignatelli, chairman, president and CEO of UniSource Energy Corp., Global Solar's majority owner.
