Robert Growney, president and COO of Motorola, commented, "I am pleased that Fred Tucker will assume responsibility for the SPS business operations at this time. He has led superbly in our embedded systems and solutions arenas. Fred will join the SPS management team in continuing to drive for Motorola leadership in embedded solutions-on-a-chip and software while sustaining the positive SPS momentum of improvement in market focus and financial performance of our semiconductor operations."
