October 31, 2000 by Jeff Shepard

Fuel cell developer Dais-Analytic (Odessa, FL) announced an investment by Enron North America (Houston, TX), a wholly owned subsidiary of Enron Corp. (Houston, TX).

As part of the alliance, Enron has made an equity investment in Dais-Analytic and will support market development, distribution and other field services for Dais-Analytic's products. Financial details of the deal have not been released.

"Our partnership with Enron provides the necessary capital to accelerate the commercialization of our products," said Timothy Tangredi, Dais-Analytic's chairman and CEO. "More importantly, it creates worldwide opportunities for distribution, sales and service of our fuel-cell-power systems as well as our membrane-based humidity control products."
