EMV to Showcase More Than 30 Workshops and Various Companies in the EMC Space

March 13, 2021 by Shannon Cuthrell

The electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) industry conference and exhibition will be held online from March 22 to March 26.

This year’s EMV trade show comes in the form of a five-day, virtual experience—complete with German- and English-language roundtables, 33 workshops, product demos and presentations from 120 national and international exhibitors, and plenty of networking.

The event’s organizer, Mesago Messe Frankfurt, decided to digitize the program this year, citing expected travel restrictions and other limitations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The annual event is typically held in Germany, alternating between venues in Stuttgart and Cologne every other year. The 2019 program attracted more than 2,700 attendees and 121 exhibitors. Last year’s EMV, initially planned for March 2020, was canceled amid growing concerns over COVID-19.

EMV 2021’s exhibitor lineup features many EMC test and measurement equipment suppliers and other companies serving the market. Some of the names on the list include TDK Electronics Europe, TMD Technologies, Telemeter Electronic, Gauss Instruments International, Rohde & Schwarz, AR Europe, E&C Testlab, ETS-Lindgren, Narda STS, Schaeffler Engineering, Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services Germany, CETECOM, Fischer Custom Communications, and Vogel Communications Group. Most of the exhibitors are based in Europe.

Exhibitors will be available from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. each day to network. Attendees can also book individual appointments.

A separate lineup of more than 30 workshops will cover a range of topics, from EMC filters and design applications to radio modules to electrical drive systems to handling low- and high-frequency noise issues in PC boards and cables, and more. Workshop registration costs 295 euros per session until March 15, then the price increases to 395 euros for last-minute tickets.

Tickets are free for the main event, granting attendees access to keynotes, exhibitor roundtables, and speed networking, in addition to the event platform’s chat and call features, exhibitor and individual profiles, job listings and matchmaking based on interests.

EMV’s registration page recommends signing up by March 18.
