Delta-Q Surpasses One Million Chargers Worldwide

June 11, 2013 by Jeff Shepard

Today Delta-Q Technologies Corp. announced that it has surpassed 1,000,000 chargers sold worldwide since it released its first industrial battery charger in 2003. Delta-Q designs and supplies high-efficiency industrial battery chargers that are used in electric vehicles and industrial equipment, such as golf cars, aerial work platforms, floor cleaning equipment, lift trucks (forklifts), utility vehicles, and mobility products (e-scooters and motorcycles). The company has supply contracts with many of the leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in these markets.

“This milestone is proof of how Delta-Q has become a trusted brand for industrial OEMs in the electric drive space. Delta-Q is unique in providing chargers that can survive the rigors of on-board usage and deliver optimized charging algorithms to maximize battery pack life,” said Ken Fielding, President and CEO of Delta-Q.

“We owe all of our customers and Delta-Q employees an enormous thank-you for helping the company surpass one million chargers sold. Reaching this milestone comes from an intensely focused organization delivering a number of industry-first power conversion solutions that solve customer problems and improve overall electric vehicle performance,” said Fielding.

To further accelerate the company’s growth, Delta-Q has invested in the new IC Series battery charger technology platform. The IC650 Charger was launched into commercial production in June 2013. To better support Asian and European OEMs integrating the QuiQ, IC650 or QuiQ-dci chargers, Delta-Q has hired sales and application engineering professionals in Taiwan and Belgium, respectively.
