C&D Technologies Names Bachrach New PED VP and GM

C&D Technologies Inc. (Tucson, AZ) announced that William Bachrach has joined the company as Vice President and General Manager of the Power Electronics Division (PED). Bachrach spent over 10 years of his career at General Electric (GE), and was involved in the assessment and due diligence of strategic acquisitions for GE's financial business unit. He later led a global partnership between GE and Toshiba Corp. (Japan) for GE's Energy Division. Bachrach left GE in 2000 to found mobile messaging services company InphoMatch. Most recently, Bachrach was the General Manager of Products and Manufacturing for mobile point-of-sale solutions company WAY Systems.
