Arrow Electronics - Exclusive Distributor for TAEC's Power Semi Products

Arrow Electronics Inc. (Melville, NY) announced that it will be the exclusive distributor for Toshiba America Electronic Components Inc.'s (TAEC, Irvine, CA) high-power semiconductor products in North America beginning April 1, 1999. Toshiba's line of power devices include co-pack, IGBT modules, integrated devices (IPM/PIM), high-voltage modules, IGBT press packs and gate turn-off (GTO) thyristors. "We believe that Arrow Electronics is well-positioned to exclusively represent Toshiba America Electronic Components Inc. for power products in the North American distribution channel," sated TAEC President and COO Bob Brown. "TAEC's high-power semiconductor offering reaches a unique market segment and Arrow has the resources in place to successfully focus on this market from both a demand generation and an order fulfillment perspective."
