American Superconductor Corp. (ASMC, Westborough, MA) and Bridex Technologies Pte Ltd. (Singapore) announced a distribution agreement where Bridex Technologies will market and sell AMSC's complete line of power quality and reliability solutions to industrial customers in the Asia-Pacific market. Products covered under the agreement include AMSC's D-VAR™, D-SMES and PQ-IVR™ systems and will be sold in all of the region's key markets with the exception of Japan.

We will leverage our strong relationships with the region's semiconductor manufacturers as a primary target for AMSC's power quality solutions."

"This agreement is strategically important for us as it broadens our market reach into one of the world's fastest growing manufacturing regions," said American Superconductor CEO Greg Yurek. "Our power quality solutions are ideally suited to the region's growing base of advanced semiconductor manufacturers. Our solutions are field-proven and allow customers to keep their manufacturing operations up and running and avoid costly downtime."
