AMI Semiconductor Opens Design Center in Bulgaria

AMI Semiconductor Inc. (AMIS, Pocatello, ID), a leader in the design and manufacture of application-specific integrated circuits, further expanded its mixed-signal semiconductor design and support capabilities with the opening of a new design center in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The company will use the new Sofia Design Center to develop and support mixed-signal integrated circuits for automotive, industrial and consumer applications. The engineering team at the center have many years' experience in the development and implementation of mixed-signal semiconductor devices, including specific expertise in the field of integrated sensors.

Nelly Pergoot, previously the AMIS quality director for Europe, has been appointed to act as both the manager of the design center and the managing director of AMI Semiconductor Bulgaria.
