Allegro Expands Distribution into China and India

May 20, 2004 by Jeff Shepard

Allegro MicroSystems Inc. (Worcester, MA), a supplier of mixed-signal power semiconductors and hall-effect sensors, and Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. (Melville, NY), a distributor of high technology active components, announced an expanded partnership agreement encompassing China and India.

The agreement is effective immediately and augments the existing North American relationship between both companies. Demand creation, engineering support and all product distribution will be locally managed from Nu Horizons' China facilities in Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Shanghai, and Indian offices in Bangalore and New Delhi.

"Nu Horizons has built a successful distribution program in Asia that provides world-class service and support capabilities," said Allegro MicroSystems Senior Director of Far East Sales Gene Taatjes. "We expect our partnership expansion into this vitally important region to propel the sales growth of all Allegro products."
