New Products Sep 15, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Xantrex Technology Inc. (Burnaby, BC) announced that its XDC Series 12kW programmable digital control power supply now offers current-sharing capability that allows paralleling several units together for higher power applications. The Xantrex XDC 12kW with current-share capability is the latest addition to the XDC Series of programmable dc power supplies. It is designed to meet high-power requirements in ATE, production test, burn-in, bulk power and OEM applications.

In addition to current-share capability, an embedded controller gives the XDC Series a unique auto-sequencing capability. It allows users to enter and save, without the need for external computers or software, complex test sequences such as the MIL-STD-704E test used on the Joint Strike Fighter program. Up to 10 different test programs, each capable of 99 voltage level steps, can be constructed and executed by a manual or external trigger. Ten configurations of differing protection and output set points can be stored, recalled or set for default at startup. The XDC 12kW comes with a five-year warranty.
