September 14, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Xantrex Technology Inc. (Burnaby, BC) introduced its new XMP 2600, which claims to offer the highest power modules for a multi-output mainframe than is available from any manufacturer. The multi-output, programmable, dc power system gives test engineers the flexibility to customize by selecting up to eight of 22 different power modules ranging from 160W to 2.4kW.

Designed for efficiently testing a variety of DUTs, or for replacing multiple power supplies, the XMP 2600's mainframe controller software can instantly reconfigure the system to provide eight channels with different voltage and current outputs. Standard features include 99-step auto sequencing, built-in disconnect, automatic polarity reversal/isolation relays and extensive DUT protection features.
