Unipower Telecom Debuts DPB1U Series Circuit Breaker Panels

March 11, 2001 by Jeff Shepard

Unipower Telecom (Coral Springs, FL) announced their new DPB1U circuit breaker panels. The panels, which provide distribution and overload protection from 1 to 12 dc circuits, are only one mounting position high (1.75").

Unipower's new circuit breaker panels provide one to six single bus breakers or two to twelve dual-bus breakers. The panels distribute up to a total of 300A load current from two separate 150A sources with true A and B distribution. The A and B sections of the panel are isolated, and can be configured for handling 12, 24 or 48Vdc, positive or negative ground. Circuit breakers are available from 1A to 50A. A circuit breaker alarm is indicated by a dual-color LED for each bus and two Form C relay contacts per bus. A fail-safe option lets the A and B sides operate redundantly from two separate feeds.

Unipower's panels measure 1.75" x 19.0" x 9.0". They come with brackets that permit mounting in either 19" or 23" relay racks. They can be mounted from the front of the rack with offsets every quarter-inch from front to back, to align with existing rack-mounted equipment.

The DPB1U Series is priced starting at $231 each. Delivery is 4 to 6 weeks ARO.
