Tyco Electronics Intros fastPACK 0 H-Bridge Modules

Tyco Electronics Power Systems Inc. (Dallas, TX) introduced its new fastPACK 0 family of fast-switching, H-bridge modules in the flow 0 package. The fastPACK 0 family addresses the needs of higher-power, fast-switching applications like welding equipment and switch-mode power supplies, working at frequencies up to 250 kHz.

The fastPACK 0 family provides 600 V/60 A power rating (about 10 kW at 50 kHz), zero-voltage switching up to 250 kHz, easy paralleling for higher-power designs, ultra-low inductive design, optional dc-bus capacitor for reduced inductance and switching losses, AlN substrate for reduced thermal resistance and increased power capability (optional), power flow-through for simple PCB routing, and clip-in interconnection between the PCB module and heatsink. The family consists of four different versions - two with dc-bus capacitors and two without - allowing the designer to choose the optimum product for the application.
