Tripp Lite has expanded its line of SmartOnline UPS Systems with nine new models from 12 to 20kVA power capacity. These new UPS Systems feature a unique design that integrates the electrical input, output and data connections of two UPS systems via a single, detachable, parallel PDU – in as little as 8U of rack space.

Key features and benefits include: nine models in 12, 16 and 20kVA; provides non-redundant operation at 100% capacity, or full redundancy at 50% capacity; 0.9 output power factor delivers up to 18kW in just 12 rack spaces; operates with up to 97% efficiency to reduce operating and energy costs; detachable PDU with manual bypass option enables hot-swappable service while connected equipment remains fully powered – no electrician required; available with hardwire, NEMA or IEC output options for easy connection to blade systems and other multi-power supply hardware; premium power conditioning from double conversion operation with zero transfer time; complete network power monitoring and management available via SNMPWEBCARD or free PowerAlert software; and front-panel LCD shows operating conditions in real time.

"Our newest SmartOnline UPS Systems continue to simplify installation and service requirements," said David Slotten, Tripp Lite’s Director of Product Management. "The versatile N+1 redundant configuration and reserve capacity capabilities of these systems make them ideal for applications that require continuous availability."
