Tripp Lite Introduces New Monitored 3-Phase Power Distribution Units

March 24, 2011 by Jeff Shepard

Tripp Lite has added 18 new 3-Phase Monitored PDUs to its already extensive line of network-grade Power Distribution Units. The new Monitored PDUs provide an Ethernet interface for remote monitoring and remote condition reporting of voltage, frequency and load per-phase. A visual current meter locally displays the connected equipment load for selected output phase, which eliminates guesswork when installing new hardware.

Key features and benefits include: ensure reliable power distribution in 3-Phase applications, providing 3-Phase input and Single-Phase output; support real-time monitoring of all reported functions with support for user-specified alarm and notification thresholds; rotatable display shows load bank power consumption in amps and IP-address self-identification; enable centralized management with Tripp Lite’s PowerAlert Network Management System; provide temperature, humidity and sensor monitoring when used with ENVIROSENSE and SRSWITCH; include 36 high-quality outlets (5-15R/20R, C13 or C19) arranged in three individually breakered single-phase output load banks; feature a variety of input plug types, such as NEMA, HUBBELL and IEC connectors; and 0U vertical form factor supports installation in 2- or 4-post racks.

"Tripp Lite’s new Monitored 3-Phase PDUs provide a simple solution for avoiding overloads and costly downtime," said Rich Feldhaus, Tripp Lite Product Manager. "Their ability to monitor power conditions remotely and warn of potential overloads is critical for 3-Phase applications that demand maximum power efficiency and uptime."
