Thomson Airpax Mechatronics (Farnborough, UK) announced its new
20M020D Series motors, which are available in both bipolar and unipolar winding configurations, measure 20mm x 16.4mm, produce 7.1mNm pullout torque at 200pps when driven with a 36Vdc chopper drive at 0.25A per phase, and weigh 23.5g.
Offering 1.25W input power per winding, an 18-degree step angle, and a step-angle tolerance of ±1.5 degrees, the unit offers holding torque rated at 11.3mNm with two phases energized. Supplied with permanently lubricated sintered bronze bearings, it is available in 5V and 12V versions.
