TDK Innoveta Offers Belleta iEA Series DC Converters
TDK Innoveta Inc. (Plano, TX) announced a full product line of dc-dc eighth-brick products, the Belleta® iEA Series, which accepts a wide-range 36 V to 75 V input, converting to single output voltages between 1.2 V and 12 V. Standard offerings include 1.2 V, 1.5 V, 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3.3 V, 5 V and 12 V. The platform delivers output currents up to 25 A, with output power in excess of 75 W. The high power capability reflects a 50% improvement over first-generation, eighth-brick products.
The Belleta iEA excels in efficiency, thermal performance and reliability. Efficiency is optimized using advanced magnetic design and materials, state-of-the-art synchronous rectifier design, proprietary circuit topologies and careful control of parasitic elements. Using these techniques, efficiency is even improved beyond many larger quarter-brick products. Combining integrated thermal management with efficiency assures low operating temperatures, high levels of usable power and high reliability.
The iEA Series is optimized for the 15 A to 25 A, 50 W to 75 W range. In addition to covering all standard logic and core voltages at or below 3.3 V, the iEA also offers solutions for 5 V or 12 V regulated intermediate bus requirements. Consequently, the iEA is suitable for telecommunications, data networking, wireless and storage applications.
The Belleta iEA products meet industry-standard dimensions and pin-out for a single-output eighth brick at 58 mm x 23 mm (2.3 in x 0.9 in). The low profile of 8.8 mm (0.347 in) provides mounting flexibility for aggressive board spacing.
