TDK Adds 600 W and 1000 W Models to GUS Power Supply Line
The industrial power supplies offer compact dimensions and up to 95% efficiency with low-noise cooling.
As systems evolve, whether in test racks, fabrication tools, broadcast gear, or lighting controllers, the power requirement often rises faster than the space set aside for the supply. TDK’s expanded GUS lineup addresses that gap by raising output to 600 W and 1000 W without inflating the chassis.
The 600 W and 1000 W models give the GUS family room to grow into applications that previously required bulkier supplies. These can include applications that need higher efficiencies across the load curve, conservative component selection, and strong compliance. The models offer a viable drop-in candidate for equipment that has already standardized on the GUS platform. That continuity is especially useful in systems where enclosure dimensions and thermal budgets are already fixed.

Higher Output, Familiar Form Factor
The GUS600 and GUS1000 have single-output voltages ranging from 12, 24, 36, or 48 V. Despite the jump in output, they retain a footprint of 101.6 mm width and 41 mm height, with the depth increasing from 152.4 mm on the 600 W unit to 177.8 mm on the 1000 W version. Keeping the width and height fixed makes it easier to migrate from lower-power GUS supplies already used in existing platforms.

Efficiency reaches up to 95% across a wide 30–100% load window, allowing systems to reduce waste heat and cut annual energy use by hundreds of kilowatt-hours in continuous-duty environments. Both models also include an internal cooling fan engineered for acoustic levels typically below 45 dBA, which can be useful in test labs or production cells where noise contributes to operator fatigue.

Electrical and Environmental Performance
In terms of durability, the GUS600 and GUS1000 are set up for equipment that doesn’t run at a constant load. Their electrolytic capacitors are rated with ample headroom to extend field longevity, and the -20 to +70 °C operating range covers both chilled storage areas and warmer electrical cabinets. When system-specific adjustments are needed, the output rail can also be tuned, and a remote on/off input allows the supply to follow system-level sequencing or shutdown routines.
Safety and EMC compliance land on a solid footing. Isolation is rated at two kVac input-to-output, 3 kVac input-to-ground, and 500 Vac output-to-ground. These models are certified to IEC/EN/UL/CSA62368-1, adhere to IEC61010-1, and also include CE and UKCA markings. For electromagnetic performance, they meet EN 55011-B and EN 55032-B emissions limits and satisfy EN 61000-3-2 harmonic constraints along with the IEC 61000-4 immunity series. With IEC 62477-1 (OVC III) compliance, the units are cleared for equipment connected directly to industrial mains circuits.
Where These Supplies Fit
The power supplies are suitable for a variety of applications, including light industrial equipment, automation controllers, semiconductor tools, ATE systems, and LED lighting, sharing a common demand for predictable thermal behavior and long-life components. With their compact form factor and efficiency profile, the models help engineers keep enclosure sizes down while still meeting rising power demands.
TDK’s additions to the GUS series give designers a straightforward path to higher output without overhauling mechanical layouts or sacrificing efficiency. By pairing compact dimensions with broad compliance and long-life components, the GUS600 and GUS1000 offer practical building blocks for industrial systems that need more power.
