SynQor Intros DualQor Series DC/DC Converters

July 02, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

SynQor Inc. (Hudson, MA) announced a new dual-output voltage, industry-standard, quarter-brick-sized, isolated, dc/dc converter, which is capable of delivering up to 60W of total output power at ±12V without the need for an attached heatsink. The DualQor Series converter module employs synchronous rectification and a patented topology to achieve efficiencies of up to 92 percent, and is targeted toward the telecom, datacom, computer, industrial and medical markets.

The latest DualQor module expands the dual-output converter line and complements SynQor’s offering of single-output, high-efficiency converters. SynQor’s no-baseplate, no-heatsink design offers lower height, weight, cost and application effort while providing more useable power in less space. Advanced control and protection features include on/off control; voltage trim; short-circuit; output over-voltage; thermal shutdown; and back-drive, current-limit protection.

The DualQor +12V, dual-output, quarter-brick converters are available immediately for production volume shipping. The modules are priced at $87.20 in 500-unit quantities.
