Staco Energy Presents New FirstLine CPS
Staco Energy Products Co. (Dayton, OH) announced its new FirstLine® conditioning power system (CPS), which protects against 98 percent of all power problems and has a low cost of ownership, low maintenance requirements and built-in diagnostic tools. The FirstLine CPS provides protection from voltage fluctuations, brownout conditions, harmonics and transient surges. It is designed for HVAC systems and manufacturing robotics systems that can be damaged by poor power quality.
The FirstLine completely isolates the connected load from the primary ac supply, protecting it from voltage sags, high voltage spikes, transients and frequency variations. The system can be configured for any 208 Vac, 380 Vac or 480 Vac application. It can handle an input-voltage range of ±20 percent, while holding a tight regulation of ±0.5 percent for 100-percent balanced loads and ±3 percent for 100-percent unbalanced loads. It has a total harmonic distortion of less than 3 percent for 100-percent linear loads, and less than 5 percent for 100-percent non-linear loads. It also regulates frequency to a stringent ±0.05 percent.
The initial cost of a FirstLine CPS can be as little as half that of a typical uninterruptible power system, and provides equal or better protection against everything except complete blackouts. The cost savings continue throughout the life of the unit, with lower annual maintenance costs and no battery replacement costs. The FirstLine CPS is now available for purchase.
