Shougang NEC Unveils SO101/SO102 ICs

Shougang NEC Electronic Co. Ltd. (China) announced the S0101 and S0102 remote-control ICs. The S0101 comes in a 20-pin SOP, and the S0102 is in a 24-pin SOP. The chips are suitable for a wide range of TV, video recorder, VCD, LD and DVD applications.

The ICs operate from a 2V to 3.3V supply and dissipate up to 1µA on standby. The S0101 supports 32-code single and double input, expandable up to 64 codes through the use of an SEL pin. The S0102 supports 64-code single and double input, and is expandable up to 128 codes through an SEL pin.
