October 07, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Sea Sonic Electronics Co. Ltd. (Taiwan) announced its new SS Series of non-power-factor-corrected PC power supplies, which deliver an output ranging from 250W to 350W, with the 350W model (SS-350FD) featuring dual fans, allowing the device to be cooled faster and operate at a higher efficiency.

The devices meet Intel's ATX (v2.03)/ATX 12V power supply requirements, as well as Advanced Micro Devices' Athlon processor system power supply requirements. The power supplies also feature the company's S²FC technology that enables silent and smart fan control. Typical operating efficiency is 72 percent.
