Schaefer Announces UL Listed 1KVA Rackmount Pure Sine Wave Inverter

Schaefer announced that its AEP-1000R series of pure sign wave inverters are now UL60950-1 listed. The AEP-1000R series provides 1KVA of power in a compact 1U rack design and is available in three standard input configurations of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and the less frequently found 48Vdc. Outputs are regulated to +/-3% or better. A built-in, 4-6ms automatic bypass switch allows for redundant operation from utility power if the dc supply drops out.

All models in the AEP-1000R series feature comprehensive protection circuitry and a digital display to monitor/indicate low input voltage, short circuit, input overvoltage, over temperature, overload and low battery. The display also indicates voltage, amperage, power and temperature. Efficiency is 86 - 92%, depending upon the model selected. Class B EMI compliance allows for minimum interference to other sensitive equipment.

The AEP-1000R design is described as rugged, reliable, and well suited for worldwide industrial and office use, in even extreme mobile, military or marine applications. The slim case fits easily into 1U racks.
