Saft Power Launches Sixteenth Brick dc/dc Power Module

Saft Power Systems is expanding its family of standard dc/dc converters with the addition of the sixteenth brick "CMS series." The CMS series accepts a wide input range of 36V to 75V and delivers from 30W to 50W with regulared outputs of 5V, 3.3V, 2.5V, 1.8V and 1.2V, in the industry standard package, footprint and pinout. This sixteenth brick family is RoHS compliant 6/6.

The CMS series is designed in an open frame package that is well-suited for very high power density application. Sixteenth bricks delivering 25A at 1.8V and 1.2V provide the same current and power as a comparable eighth brick standard product, but are 40% smaller in size. Designers can use the saved board space to integrate additional system functionality. The CMS series also offers standard features such as trim and remote on/off (positive and negative). This new family is compliant with the worldwide standards such as UL60950 CE mark (EN60950) and lead free.
