Royal Philips Intros NE57810/NE57811 Regulators

New Products Dec 12, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

Royal Philips Electronics (Eindhoven, the Netherlands) announced the availability of the NE57810 and NE57811 DDR termination regulators, which are capable of providing 3.5A of peak current at 1.25V to the memory termination resistors, in compliance to the JEDEC DDR specification. Designed for integration into desktop PCs, servers, STBs and DVRs, the regulators are compatible with current 2.5V memory systems and are also designed to support next-generation 1.8V systems.

Both regulators provide over-current and over-temperature circuits to protect the devices in the event of any system failures. The regulators are claimed to be thermally robust and are available in SOT756 packages with low junction-to-ambient temperature coefficients.
