Rockwell Automation Expands UPS Line

Rockwell Automation Inc. announced the expansion of its line of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), which are being manufactured for Rockwell by American Power Conversion. The Allen-Bradley® 1609-P series offers users increased protection against the threats of fluctuating power or complete power losses.

These industrial-grade units are intended to deliver increased performance and reliability over standard commercial-grade power supplies by providing increased voltage and frequency regulation, internal bypass and input power factor correction. A comprehensive network management feature allows users to remotely monitor and configure the devices.

The 1609-P series features an external battery pack that helps simplify battery management by allowing users to quickly and easily add power when needed, and make a live switch without disrupting the system. The intelligent battery management system helps users maximize battery performance, while the frequency and voltage regulation helps ensure maximum battery life.

The new 1609-P high-density, double conversion UPS is available in power ranges from 3 to 10 KVA, and in 208 and 230V applications.
