ROAL Launches New Series Of AC-DC Configurable Power Supplies

ROAL Electronics announced the launch of what it describes as the revolutionary RCA600 series of 600W configurable ac-dc power supplies in a 3" x 5" x 1U (75mm x 125mm x 1U) form factor. By combining a patent pending modular and user configurable architecture with a high 90% efficiency design, a custom 600W power supply can be constructed in minutes that will fit into the smallest of applications.

The initial release of the RCA600 will include a 600W ac chassis with 4 slots and 3 output modules offering 150W output power at 5, 12 and 24V. By integrating a simple voltage adjustment feature, customized 600W single, dual, triple or quad output power supplies from 1.5 to 30V can easily be configured.

Key specifications include conducted & radiated noise to EN55022-B, active PFC, 600W in 600 g (21 oz), parallel operation, isolated outputs, current share and universal input. System level integration features include current share, 5V bias supply, remote voltage & current programming, start-up voltage sequencing, N+1 redundancy and global inhibit.

The series carries UL60950 and EN60950 safety approvals and complies with EN61000-3, EN6100-4 and EN55022-B EMC standards.
