Railway DC-DC Converters Deliver 10W to 20W

Mornsun has addressed 40- to 160-Vdc ultra-wide input voltage needs of railway applications with the URB1D-LMD-10WR3 series, URB1D-LMD-15WR3 series and URB1D-LMD-20WR3 series of dc-dc converters. These dc-dc converters include 2250Vdc isolation (reinforced insulation) and can deliver 10W, 15W or 20W of output power. Meeting EN60950/EN50155, they are all suitable for 72V, 96V and 110V railway vehicle electronic equipment such as railway monitoring equipment, air conditioner controllers, information displays, and so on.

These series have an operating temperature of -40 to +85 degrees and multiple protections functions including input under-voltage and output short-circuit, over-current, and over-voltage protection. The three series meet EN50121-3-2 emi limitations without external components. The converters come in 2 x 1 inch international standard package with are available two pin-out positions (approaching to the inner or outer of the power converter).

A2S (Chassis mounting) or A4S (DIN-Rail mounting) package are also available, which have reverse voltage protection. These dc-dc converters meet EN50155/EN60950: URB1D-LMD-10WR3 & URB1D-LD-20WR3 meet EN50121-3-2 standard and URB1D_LMD-15WR3 & URB1D_LMD-20WR3 meet EN50121-3-2 standard.
