Pulse Offers PG0087NL Series Power Shielded Inductors

Pulse Engineering Inc. (San Diego, CA), a manufacturer of passive electronic magnetic-based components, introduced its PG0087NL Series of power-shielded, surface-mount inductors with a 6.2 mm x 6.2 mm x 2 mm maximum footprint package for dc-dc applications in consumer electronics products such as MP3 players, digital cameras, gaming consoles and low-power dc-dc conversion applications.

The PG0087NL Series offers 24 different inductance values ranging from 1 µH to 5 mH. The series has high-saturation currents of up to 3.5 A and dc resistances as low as 33 mΩ maximum. The extended operating temperature of -40 °C to +130 °C makes the PG0087NL Series suitable for high-temperature applications such as telecom and consumer electronics products. The series employs a robust design using a shielded ferrite core for better control of electromagnetic interference.
