Protek Power Introduces 15W Wall Mount Medical Grade Power Adapters with Interchangeable Plugs

Protek Power introduced the new PMP15M Series of ac-dc power adapters for patient vicinity medical device applications.

The PMP15M Series accepts a 90-264Vac input and is available with four interchangeable input plugs (US, UK, EU, Australian) which attach to the compact 3.08 x 2.04 x 1.35" body of the adapter. Single outputs range from 5 through 24Vdc, or modified voltage requests can be accommodated.

The Series has certification to worldwide EN60601-1 safety standards, RoHS compliance, CE Mark, and is complaint to radiated and conducted EN55011 Class B emission limits. With a very low standby power of 0.3W typical, the PMP15M complies with CEC Level IV regulations. MTBF is 300,000 hours at full load and 25°C ambient temperature.

The Series boasts efficiencies to 76%, leakage current of 100µA maximum at 264Vac, and 4000Vdc input-ground withstand voltage. Comprehensive protection circuitry, including overvoltage, overcurrent, and short circuit protection, is inherent in the design.
