Protek Power Announces New 2 x 4 Inch 100W Convection Cooled Power Supply

Protek Power announced the PM100 series, a high efficiency, high power density, open frame ac-dc power supply. Designed and safety approved for either commercial or medical applications, the compact 2" x 4" PM100 series provides 100W of power at convection cooling, making them well suited for designs where space is at a premium and there is little or no airflow. Full power is provided up to 50°C, with derated power from 50 to 70°C.

Single outputs, ranging from 5 to 48Vdc, are provided from a 90-132Vac or 180-264Vac autoranging input. Leakage current is specified at 150uA maximum, at 264VAC. No minimum load is required for start up or to maintain listed specifications.

Efficiency is up to 90%, the units achieve a MTBF of 270,000 hours, and are RoHS compliant. Overvoltage and overcurrent protection are standard. Worldwide safety approvals are completed to both EN60950-1 and medical EN60601-1 standards. The PM100 Series meets EN55011 and EN55022 Class B for radiated and conducted EMI.
