Powertech uses Ayla IoT Platform for Energy Control & Measurement

The Ayla Networks IoT platform technology is at the heart of several new APPSPOWER intelligent home control products being launched by Powertech, a leader in power protection and energy management technologies based in Taiwan.

Powertech’s APPSPOWER product line focuses on the safe use of electricity. The new products running on the Ayla IoT cloud include Wi-Fi and ZigBee smart sockets, as well as ZigBee network bridges, intelligent temperature and humidity sensors, door and window sensors, wall socket and dimmer switch.

“Ayla provides the intelligence for our smart home products,” said Jennifer Lai, general manager of Powertech. “In addition to measuring electricity consumption and interoperating with one another, our intelligent APPSPOWER product line can also remotely monitor power usage via mobile devices; detect abnormal power consumption and alert users in real time; and allow users to customize their settings.”
