Powerex Debuts PS51277-A and PS51259-A IPMs

Powerex Inc. (Youngwood, PA) announced its new PS51277-A and PS51259-A dual in-line, power-factor-correction modules (DIP PFC), intelligent power modules (IPM) used for PFC of ac-dc-ac inverter systems in consumer products such as air conditioners and refrigerators. The modules provide a sinusoidal current waveform with a power factor of 99.9%, and are manufactured with a transfer-mold technology.

The PS51277-A and PS51259-A are both designed for 90 V to 264 V input, 20 kHz switching operation, and an isolation voltage of 1,500 Vrms. The input current ratings are 15 A and 20 A for the PS51277-A and PS51259-A, respectively.

Samples are available from stock at eight weeks, with production quantities available in 10 weeks. Sample pricing is $14 for the PS51277-A and $17 for the PS51259-A.
