Power-One Unveils 12Vout Eighth Brick DC-DC Converter
Power-One, Inc. introduced a new eighth-brick dc-dc converter that provides 12V at 10A – the SQE48T10120. The device is said to have high efficiencies (93% @ 120W) and excellent elevated ambient-temperature performance, which are achieved through the use of advanced circuits, packaging, and processing techniques. A low-body profile, and the preclusion of heat sinks, minimizes cooling airflow impedance in communications systems and data servers.
The SQE48T10120 is said to offer exceptional applications flexibility and features a user-adjustable output that can be trimmed from -20 to +10% using industry-standard equations. Tight output regulation, +/-2%, provides the versatility to power input-voltage-sensitive applications, as well as providing IBA bus-converter power.
Other features include: low-profile height (0.374 inch/9.5mm), wide-input-range (36 to 75Vdc) operation, an on-board input differential LC filter, remote sense, and start-up into pre-biased loads. The SQE48T10120 is protected against input undervoltage, overtemperature, output overcurrent, and output overvoltage.
Regulatory agency approvals include UL60950, including Basic insulation requirements. This product is designed to meet Class B conducted emissions, per FCC and EN55022, when used with an external filter. All materials meet UL94, V-0 flammability ratings.
Pricing is $38 each in quantities of 1,000.
