Power-One Expands BLP55 Series AC-DC Power Supplies
Power-One Inc. (Andover, MA) has expanded its BLP55 Series by adding the BLP55-3000 and the BLP55-3300 triple-output ac-dc power supplies, which are suitable for 1U "pizza-box" applications. Host-system physical-layout flexibility is enhanced by reduced airflow requirements and a low 1.25 in height that reduces airflow shadowing to improve cooling of downstream devices. Power-distribution architecture flexibility is enhanced by the availability of 3.3 V and 5 V outputs, suitable for any desired combination of bus voltage and/or direct-power usage.
Both models accept a wide-range 85 Vac to 264 Vac input, and only need 10 LFM of cooling to provide full-rated power. The BLP55-3000 delivers +5 V at 5 A, +12 V at 2.5 A, and -12 V at 0.7 A. The BLP55-3300 provides +3.3 V at 5 A, +5 V at 2.5 A, and +12 V at 0.7 A. Additional features include a compact 3.00 in x 5.00 in x 1.25 in (76.2 mm x 127.0 mm x 31.8 mm) package that is compatible with industry-standard footprints and connectors, remote sense, and output over-voltage protection. Regulatory agency approvals include UL recognition to UL60950-1/CSA 22.2 No. 60950-1, and TUV approval to EN60950-1. Onboard EMI filtering provides Class B compliance to FCC CFR Title 47, Part 15, Sub-Part B - Conducted; and EN55022/CISPR 22 Conducted Class B.
