Phihong Unveils New PSA150U Power Adapter

May 27, 2003 by Jeff Shepard

Phihong (Fremont, CA) unveiled its new PSA150U power adapter, which provides an external power supply option for applications that have traditionally required an internal solution. The external alternative increases system space, decreases EMI and reduces heat, thereby increasing safety. It is designed for use in industrial controls, imaging machines, gaming machines, networking systems, portable electronics and telecommunications equipment that require zero down time.

The PSA150U delivers up to 130W of power with 85% efficiency. Along with increased reliability, stability and overall lifetime of the power supply, the PSA150U adapter’s universal ac input range eliminates the need for a voltage switch. The PSA150U power adapter features a high power density at 130W output, and carries worldwide EMC compliance. The PSA150U adapter is equipped with an on/off switch and measures 82.34in³.

The PSA150U adapter is CE compliant. The adapter’s construction survives dips and browns-outs, surges, spikes, and lightning strikes. The unit meets FCC Class B and EN55022 Class B conducted noise limits. Safety approvals pending at this time include UL 60950 3rd edition. The PSA150U is approved for UL, cUL and TUV. The product mates with any IEC C13 line cord.

The PSA150U adapter is priced at $65.60 each per 100 units, available from stock.
