Phihong Intros New PSM1554 Power Rack

Phihong (Fremont, CA) introduced its new PSM1554, a 1,500 W, 1U rack for RPS and bulk power sources. With quick-disconnect connectors for three individual loads, the PSM1554 accepts three PSM500 500 W power supplies. Applications include Power-over-Ethernet, Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) phones, dc uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), lighting systems with single UPS, and network-redundant power sources.

The PSM1554 is available with 48 V main power up to 30 A, and standby power of 12 V up to 4.5 A, and operates from an input voltage of 90 Vac to 264 Vac, with active power-factor correction. It is hot-plug, n+1 configurable for scaleable and redundant applications. Each output is individually protected against overloads causing overheating of wiring from excessive current; fully protecting the system against overload, over-temperature, and over-voltage. The PSM1554 was designed to allow easy connection of a battery plant for full dc UPS capability for VoIP phone systems or network switches. The PSM1554 measures 17.25 in x 13.77 in x 1.75 in, and weighs 2.5 lbs.

Pricing for the PSM1554 rack is $129, and less than $100 for 500 W power modules in OEM quantities. Lead time is stock to 10 weeks.
