Phihong Develops 72-75W Universal Desktop Adapter Series
Phihong has developed a new 72-75W universal 3-wire input desktop adapter series. Well suited for applications including networking and security equipment, the PSC75U Series consists of two single-output adapters, available in 48- and 56Vdc. Designated the PSC75U-480 and PSC75U-560, both adapters in the 72-75W series are compliant with mandatory energy-efficiency legislation, including the U.S. Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 (EISA), as well as with more recent, and still-voluntary measures, including the ENERGY STAR® EPS Version 2.0 (Level V) efficiency standard.
"One of our foremost goals as a company is meeting the power requirements of a broad range of applications while maintaining our commitment to developing energy-efficient products that surpass current requirements," said Keith Hopwood, Vice President of Marketing for Phihong. "Our new 72-75W Series, to be released soon, is only the latest development in our continuing effort to provide OEMs with high-quality, high-efficiency, flexible power solutions."
The PSC75U Series meets Class B EMI standards and features over-voltage and short-circuit protection, as well as over-current protection with auto-restart. Featuring a no-load power draw of less than 0.5W and an average operating efficiency greater than 87%, the series bears cUL/UL 609501, IEC60950-1, and CE safety markings and approvals.
Featuring non-vented, spill-proof cases, the PSC75U Series adapters weigh 16.75 ounces, measure 5.93 x 2.78 x 1.54" and terminate with a 2.1 x 5.5mm center-positive dc output connector. The series is rated for operation from 0 to +40° C.
