MTM Power Debuts New HSAP240 Power Supply

New Products Nov 13, 2002 by Jeff Shepard

MTM Power Messtechnik Mellenbach GmbH (Frankfurt, Germany) introduced the new HSAP240 two-step power supply, which can be used at different mains because of an active power-factor corrector. The power supply is available with an input range of 100Vac to 264Vac and 120Vdc to 375Vdc.

The sine-wave current input guarantees a high efficiency even with battery-operated ac/dc lines because only a very low reactive power share is being taken. The HSAP240 can be used with critical applications regarding safe electrical separation, because there is no feedback via an optical coupler. The power supply is short-circuit protected, needs no ground load, and has additional inserted temperature protection and overload protection at the input in case of total failure at the output. The dimensions of the HSAP240 are 120mm x 130mm x 130mm.

The HSAP240 offers a wide input range for worldwide application; planned VDE-, UL- and cUL- certification; a two-year warranty; and CE conformity.
